"As long as children are in school, there is no room for early marriage." - Stanley Ndambakuwa
The African Community Fund for Education Zimbabwe with the support of the Embassy of Botswana in Zimbabwe has just launched a nationwide campaign, the 'Educate the Girl-Child Campaign'.
The Campaign is a response to the recent debate on Girl-Child marriages, and is meant to create awareness and harness support towards the education of disadvantaged children, particularly girls in Zimbabwe. The campaign which is expected to go global in the near time fulfills the desires of many African governments on their poverty eradication and women empowerment programs.

The African Community Fund for Education believes that the government has done its role on policy formulation and gender main streaming and it is now the duty of the NGO sector as members of the civil society to take the action necessary to protect girl children. The President & CEO summarized his interview with ZBC News by elaborating on how the African Community Fund for Education is playing a critical role towards the education of disadvantaged girls in the African community.
