Senior Lecturer of Sociology at Monash University

 

Dr. Fay Hodza is an experienced educator currently serving as a Senior Lecturer of Sociology at Monash University. He has been a university lecturer for the past 10 years and has facilitated training workshops in Zimbabwe on education, HIV/AIDS, women and children’s rights, gender and sexuality issues at tertiary institutions, and youth leadership development. He has also worked and consulted for international non-profit organisations such as Oxfam GB, Save the Children, Practical Action, and many others.

Advocate Aston Musunga is a Partner at Musunga & Associates Legal Practitioners. Adv. Musunga trained as a Health Assistant at Domboshava Training Centre from 1970 -1972. In 1973-1975 worked as a Health Assistant under The Ministry of Health and in 1975 joined the City of Salisbury as a Health Assistant with specific duties to control infectious diseases. In 1976 – 1978 trained as a State Registered nurse at Mpilo Central Hospital in Bulawayo. In 1979 worked at Ingutsheni Mental Hospital and then briefly for the Prison Services with special duties to treat the prison inmates. In 1980 successfully selected by the new Government under His Excellency R.G. Mugabe to train as a Magistrate at the University of Zimbabwe. In 1981-1982 worked first as a Prosecutor and thereafter as a Magistrate at Tredgold Building in Bulawayo.

 

Adv. Musunga was admitted to the High Court of Zimbabwe as a Legal Practitioner in 1987. In 1987 -1994 worked with Chirunda, Chihabakwe and Partners first as a professional Assistant and thereafter as a Partner. In 1994 formed own Law Firm Musunga and Associates Legal Practitioners to date where I hold position of Senior Partner with five [5] professional Assistants and supporting staff of 25 people who include secretaries, messengers and clerks.

A dynamic Chartered Accountant, broadly experienced in consumer and industrial products, manufacturing, mining, public sector and municipalities, financial services, pensions and investment management, information, communications and entertainment. Gladman currently sits on the Auditor General's Panel of Experts. Gladman also trains company executives on Financial Management, Corporate Governance and Accounting. Gladman's experience ranges from Financial Management, Investigations and Internal Control reviews. He is also a technical partner in Accounting and Finance matters.

Napoleon K. Mtukwa is the current Group Finance Manager and is also acting as the Company Secretary for the Group. He is a member of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA). He has vast experience at senior management levels includes the post of Group Management Accountant for RTG as well as Unilever Zimbabwe.

Dr. Rudo Sithole holds three degrees including a first class Msc. in Tropical Entomology. She is a recipient of several meritorious scholarships including John Wakeford, Ford, BMZ and BioNET International in Britain. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy in the Natural Sciences field of Entomology. She is the current Executive Director of the International Council of African Museums, AFRICOM. She also served as the Director of the Natural History Museum of Zimbabwe which ranks among the four largest museums in Africa.

 

Dr Sithole started her career in heritage and museums management almost three decades ago at the Natural History Museum of Zimbabwe. She progressed through the ranks to become Director of this museum. During her time as head of this institution, among other things she facilitated the completion of the Old Bulawayo Theme Park and chaired the finalization of the Matobo World Heritage Area Management Plan.

 

Dr. Sithole is an accomplished and distinguished researcher and thought leader in the field of heritage management. She has described more than a hundred species new to science. She is a former President of ICOM Zimbabwe and has had several positions in the boards of heritage, research and academic organizations locally and internationally. She is well known for her ability to mobilize both technical and financial resources as well as for initiating, establishing and maintaining local and international partnerships.

 

Additionally Dr. Sithole is passionate about youth empowerment through education particularly the girl child. As a result she is a youth motivational speaker and she conducts youth seminars on ‘goal setting and achievement’ among many other youth focused topics.

She is not just an idea person. She has a passion for working on dynamic, game-changing initiatives and she has a reputation for success. She has spearheaded large scale civic engagement and public service initiatives at the local, state, national and international levels for more than 15 years. Her career spans nearly twenty years in the fields of government relations, communications, political strategy, stakeholder engagement and project management. Most notable is her work on creating the U.S. community engagement and advocacy operation for ONE.org, the non-profit co-founded by global advocate and entertainer Bono.

 

In 2004, that network encouraged the US Congress to pass the largest increase in funding for Africa in 40 years. As a member of ONE’s 2005 Live8 team, she organized and led a delegation of 100 U.S. advocates to Edinburgh, Scotland to participate in the actions leading to unprecedented global commitments at the 2005 Gleneagles G8 Summit. She resurrected that role in 2015, to serve as the Senior Manager and Strategic Advisor for the Africa office spearheading Pan African campaigns towards the adoption of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. A veteran political strategist, Walker has advised three Mayors, a Caucus of 12 State Senators, held leadership positions in three U.S. Presidential campaigns and has led or advised principles on more than 100 advocacy or candidate campaigns.
